Oatridge Hotel - Uphall

I ate at an excellent restaurant for dinner.

Request a room away from the pub area for quieter sleep, especially on weekends when it can get noisy.

Charming small accommodation with convenient setting close enough to local restaurants and chip shop/takeaway next door, Glasgow and short walk from train station. Easy check-in, parking on site. Great to have an attached restaurant for dinner.

The hotel décor could use revival, tired carpets and peeling wallpaper!!! Limited free parking was obstructed upon arrival. The shower's noise was irritating, and the bathroom lacked basic amenities like a shaver point!!!

I had an amazing stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the cozy beds. I was delighted by the complimentary bottle of fizz for our anniversary and the delicious home-cooked pie we enjoyed at the restaurant. Definitely a place I would return to!

Had a nice stay with a clean room and a great shower. The garden area had lovely seating spots for some chill time. The only downside was having to dress to use the toilet outside my room, but it was manageable. 😊

The shower pressure was not ideal, but the steaks were excellent.

Couples looking for a quiet getaway, beware

The pub was lively and the staff let us bring beers up to our room, nice after a long day. The room was decent enough, clean, but honestly needed a bit more character, it felt sterile like a lab, you know, just four walls and a bed.

It wasn't cheap, but, I guess you pay for location.

Comfortable room, clean room, with a kettle and tea for a cozy stay before our flight at Edinburgh Airport, made our time here enjoyable and convenient.

Family Fun with a Side of Flavor

The restaurant was a surprise, the staff were super friendly and the food really knocked us off our feet, especially those steaks, fresh and juicy.

It wasn't dirt cheap, but honestly, for the experience we had, I can't complain.

We loved the huge room with two double beds, the Tapas night was a good surprise, and free parking made things easy. It was great value for a comfortable stay!

Unfortunately, we encountered some quirks. The separate toilet across the corridor was less than ideal, and with the ongoing redecoration, the overall vibe felt a bit chaotic. We had issues with inconsistent water temperatures in the shower-either scorching hot or freezing cold-and the pillows felt quite lumpy. The TV setup was a hassle and the noise from neighboring rooms surprised us in the early morning. While we managed to sleep through most of the racket, it might be a concern for lighter sleepers. Lastly, having no glass for drinking water felt subpar. Small details like that can impact the overall experience.

I enjoyed my recent stay at Oatridge. The clean, spacious room provided comfort after a long day of exploring. The restaurant's excellent quality food impressed me, though I found the noise from the bar a bit distracting at times. A positive experience worth recommending.
